Principal

Hello and Welcome to Columbus! I am very excited to be the Principal of Columbus Junior High Riverside Campus. I am starting my second year as Principal at CJH and want to showcase our amazing students and teachers.

I earned my Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in 1995 and my Master's degree in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M. I just completed my 28th year in education including 11 years as an administrator. Prior to being named Principal in Columbus I have been an administrator in Montgomery ISD and Klein ISD. I’ve also been a  teacher and coach in Willis ISD, Tomball ISD and Sheldon ISD. I have been married for 27 years to my wife Lisa, a high school math teacher. I have two sons Justin age 23 and Payton age 20 both are currently serving in our armed forces in the Army and Airforce.

I enjoy all JH and HS school sports, being outdoors and Aggie football. I believe in building positive relationships and hope to showcase all the great things that are happening in Columbus ISD. It's always a great day to be a Cardinal!!!!
