CJHS Mission:
It is our vision at Columbus Junior High School that every student is provided with a safe and engaging learning environment that allows diverse learners the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, and self-discipline necessary to successfully transition into and through high school.  With the collaboration and support of parents and community, it is the goal of Columbus Junior High School to prepare all students academically, emotionally, and physically to become socially responsible and successful, contributing citizens of the global community. 
CJHS Vision:
Columbus Junior High School strives to empower students to become life-long learners who are respectful, responsible, and kind. CJHS students will enter our hallways and feel safe, valued, and full of Cardinal Pride.
AVID Mission:  AVID’s mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
Welcome to Columbus Junior High School-Riverside Campus, home of the Cardinals!  Our faculty and staff are excited to welcome you to the 2021 - 2022 school year.  
CJHS Cardinals are encouraged to make good choices and do their best every single day.  We strive to ready our students for high school and beyond, and we are happy when we are able to partner with parents and community members willing to work together to provide a rewarding experience for all students.

Two-hour Delayed Start Due to Weather on 1/21/22

Columbus ISD will delay the start of school tomorrow, Friday January 21st by two hours because of forecasted inclement weather concerns. Buses will operate on a two hour delay and school will begin two hours later than normal. Please stay warm and safe.
