Columbus ISD Parent Portal Information Page


Ascender Parent Portal Login:

Ascender Parent Portal provides parents and guardians LIVE web access to school related information about their students including grades and attendance.  
It works in conjunction with Ascender Teacher Portal.  Parents may access Ascender Parent Portal from anywhere with an Internet connection.



Parent Portal will be used by all campuses and grade levels to enroll new and returning students to Columbus ISD for the 2021-2022 school year. 


Beginning July 19th, ALL NEW and RETURNING students to Columbus ISD in grades 6th - 8th will be able to enroll using the Ascender Parent Portal.

Instructions and Account Creation: 

The attachments below have instruction on how to create a Parent Portal account, to helping you walk through the enrollment process, and how to upload your documents into Parent Portal in both English and Spanish.


For creating a Parent Portal account, please use the document titled Parent Portal Account Instructions, it is in both English and Spanish. 


If you have a Parent Portal account and need to complete online student registration, use the document titled Quick Online Registration, both English and Spanish. 


If you need help when it comes to uploading documents into Parent Portal, please refer to the guide titled Uploading Documents for assistance.

Parents who have a link saved to their mobile device will need to delete the old link and create a new one.


How to Pin Parent Portal Shortcut on Apple and

  1. Open a browser on your device.
  2. Browse to the district Ascender website. iPhone users will need to use the Safari browser. Android users may use Chrome.
  3. For iPhone, in the Safari browser, click the box with the arrow at bottom of page and choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. For Android, in Chrome, click the three dots in upper right corner of screen and choose Add to Home Screen.
